Level Info ========== Name: DM-CBP3-August Author: Nick "Neoduck" Donaldson Players: 2 Story: This month was originally named Sextilis in Latin, because it was the sixth month in the ancient Roman calendar, which started in March about 750 BC under Romulus. It became the eighth month either when January and February were added to the beginning of the year by King Numa Pompilius about 700 BC or when those two months were moved from the end to the beginning of the year by the decemvirs about 450 BC (Roman writers disagree). It was renamed in honor of Augustus in 8 BC because several of the most significant events in his rise to power, culminating in the fall of Alexandria, which fell in this month. Lore claims August originally had 29 days in the Roman Republican calendar. Augustus took two days from February and gave it to August when Sextilis was renamed in his honor. ......cool huh? Enjoy the map :) ---------- Name: DM-CBP3-Endura Author: Daniel "GreenLoves" Rožanski Players: 2-4 Story: The Niberian forest hides innumerable natural resources. Endura, a deep cave where several rivers meet to create a fascinating show, is one place where these assets are found. Long ago an attempt was made to exploit the raw Tribium found here, but the force of the mining made the cave too unstable to continue. The only remains are hundreds of rickety wooden platforms, the only things that desperately hold this place together. ---------- Name: DM-CBP3-HongKong Author: Tynan Sylvester Players: 2-6 Story: In Hong Kong's Mongkok district, the most densely populated neighborhood on Earth, the only direction the city could grow in was up. ---------- Name: DM-CBP3-Salvation Author: Daniel "KaMi" Díaz Players: 2-8 Story: In a world devastated by pollution, only an Unknown island remains pure, at the bottom of the planet. Welcome to Salvation, the last clean city on Earth. ---------- Name: DM-CBP3-IronMaiden2 Author: "MozI" Players: 6-8 Story: After many years the doors to this arena are open once again. However, the fires have died out and nature is taking over. But a few overgrown plants should not stop you from taking over your foes! ---------- Name: CTF-CBP3-Touch Author: Cory "Spoondog" Spooner Players: 6-10 Story: The tournament walls of this sewer drip in anticipation of the blood-shed to come. Little do the inhabitants above know that the gritty, sadistic game of death is happening right beneath their feet. To make things even more interesting - the "Sin" sewer system, as it is called by the locals, has been set up for the tournament so that each team can view and even fire into the other team's base along side theirs. The Liandri, keen for even more mayhem, have also set up a powerful sniper roost right in the center for both teams to fight over. This will not be a pretty contest. ---------- Name: VCTF-CBP3-TheDig Author: Chris "Plutonic" Blundell Players: 8-10 Story: What's so important about these flags that so many people spend so much time trying to steal them? ---------- Name: WAR-CBP3-Airlock Author: "MozI" Players: 10-12 Story: No one really knows what the true purpose of this tech facility was, but it was recently given up to the Liandri Corp. for a pretty cheap price due to the fact that recent increase in ion storms have hindered this facility unsafe for average people. Given the abundance of energy in the facility it made perfect sense to turn into a Warfare arena. However, with the cheap price Liandri paid they were never informed that facility airlock controls are bit flaky. So watch your step and keep alert for warnings of bright orange lights that fire before an airlock opens... Author's Notes: My first attempt at Warfare mapping. THis level is very unconvential to most WAR maps. So off the bat you are indoors, and the objective is like most WAR maps, capture the prime node and destroy the core. The twist here is that there is countdown node aka 'Airlock Node' capturing that will do a few things. 1) The enemy base will be on lock down for a few seconds, there is sign at the exit/enter inside the enemy base that says 'Airlock Zone 2) If the base is on lock down and you are unlucky to be in the airlock zone well you suffocate and explode due to space pressure. (fun to do the enemy) 3) While the base is on lock down a Manta, blue or red will spawn at the Airlock node depending on who got to the node first. 4) The airlock node area is on lock down too but that is to keep you safe and allow the manta to take the short cut all the way down to the prime node if you need to attack it. Other than that it plays just like WAR should...
