Thank you for playing Greycap! This is the final version. Created by Robert King, aka Cirian. Installation Instructions ========================= Copy the .JAM file onto a memory stick (or similar) and plug it into the PS3. That's it? I think so! The map should show up in the game menu ready to play. Unfortunately I can't test this myself but it seems quite simple. I'm not much help but I think that should work :] Notes ===== This is my first UT map release, which I hope to be the first of many. I play this map mostly as a Team Deathmatch, since I drew the paper design and balanced the flow and pickups with a future CTF map in mind. I admit, I got quite addicted to Team Deathmatch during development. So, I may make further TDM maps in the future - after I get a couple of CTFs out of my system. Number of Players: 2-8. If you're playing Team Deathmatch, you can actually have up to 2-8 players *per side*. For regular Deathmatch, I'd not go over 8 total. I've played a few Duels and I have to say there's a lot of health and armour for just 2 people, so I'd stick in a mutator or two to rebalance the map if you want to Duel. However you choose to play Greycap, I hope you have fun. I should say a bit about the weapons too, as you can carve the map up into 3 areas. 1) Blue/Yellow area. The east side is dominated by the Shockrifle and Flak Cannon, so if you like those that's where to hang out or run through to re-arm. 2) Red/Green area. The west side is for the Rocket Launcher and Link Gun, so go there if you want those. Note in the entrance hall (Lion Hall), the ammo pickups serve to remind which way is Blue and Yellow (Shock/Flak), and which way is Red and Green (Rocket/Link). 3) Central area. The centre ground is dominated by the Stinger, Biorifle and Sniper Rifle and split into 2 levels. The lower level is well lit. The main hall is good for the Stinger, and the Biorifle for gooing up the side rooms. The upper walkways are gloomy for those that like to lurk, and there are a Jump Boots available to bypass the lifts. The sentry nest (Aerie) at the back is somewhat defendable, but it's nothing explosives and jump boots can't beat. Health, armour and spawn points are evenly distributed around the map. Since I am such a fan of Enforcers, I have also included batches of enforcer clips. There are no super pickups, but you can still get quite strong by farming the armour and health vials. Credits ======= Robert King "Cirian", level designer. Epic for making the best editor I've used to date. Thanks for everything :] Jason Busby, Zak Parrish and Logan Frank of 3D Buzz for their time and effort in making the training videos bundled with the Collectors Edition. Thanks guys, they were gold. Sjoerd "Hourences" De Jong for sharing his knowledge. His website (http://www.hourences.com/) is very informative with those little bits of technical information I needed from time to time :] ... and finally, YOU for being a part of the UT community and playing my map. I hope you have fun with it :) Until next time. Cirian.
